Workout ~ Derailed

Why, why, why….

So, I’m having major car issues.  My car overheated this weekend and was towed to my mechanic on Monday.  This setback prevented me from attending my regularly scheduled Zumba class.  Sucks, I know, especially since Monday was officially the start of the hair and weight loss challenge.

I’m planning to ride my bike today as well WII aerobics as I didn’t attend Powercut today either.  Staying on course no matter what….

If you have any suggestions, please feel free to share.

Until next time,

Grow Out Challenge

, , , , , , ,

I’ve recently joined a Grow Out Challenge (GOC) that begins today, August 1, 2011 and lasts six months.  The challenge is sponsored by Shelli over at  This is my first time ever participating in anything like this so I’m really excited & anxious to learn tons from Shelli aka Skills as well as the fellow participants.  Click here for GOC details and wish me luck on my healthy hair journey.  BTW, my hair goal is Armpit Length (APL) in six months:).

The challenge also has a weight loss component, which is an added bonus.  I’ve struggled for the past 11 years with my weight due to a condition known as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).  I’ll touch more on PCOS in future posts just know it is no joke.  Anyhoo, the weight loss challenge for me is about shedding  these unwanted pounds (37.6 to be precise); achieving a much healthier weight; & reducing my risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, infertility (oh, already dealt with that one), etc all symptoms of this terrible condition.

I will post my regimen for both hair and weight loss so stay tuned.

Until next time,
